Ataturk -> Esenboga
Distance: 223.1 nm
Estimated fuel burn: 53.0 gal / 318.1 lb
Estimated time en route: 1:11
After fixing the broken fuel line and the damages it caused in the last flight, I started the third leg of this flight around noon, heading out to the capital city of Turkey - the city of Ankara.
I took a small detour to admire the scenery along the route. After takeoff I took another look at the wonderful city of Istanbul, as much as I could considering all the frequency changes, busy airspace and ATC communications. Next waypoint around the way was the city of Izmir, located in a bay on the Marmaris sea coast.
From Izmir on, a river carved a wide valley in the northern mountains which I followed untill I was 30 nm North East of the Capital. Then, I turned to the south and begin the descent.
The approach in the capital city was a bit long, the ATC had me turning a few times before aligning me with runway 03R for the landing. This gave me a good chance to admire the city from above, thanks also to the nice weather I had for todays flight.
